PRESQUE ISLE – Millard G. Sperry, 82, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at a Mars Hill health care facility. He was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Perham, the son of Guilford and Inez (Dodge) Sperrey. Millard worked as a machinist for many years in California and Rhode Island. He was a longtime member of Washburn Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brown Sperry of Mars Hill; a daughter, Donna Towne and her husband, Marvin, of Milo; four brothers, Atwood Sperrey and his wife, Dorothy, of Washburn, Everett Sperry and his wife, Barbara, of Caribou, Daryl Sperrey and his wife, Lydia, of Washburn, Dalton Sperrey and his wife, Elizabeth, of Tavares, Fla.; a sister, Glenna Sperrey of Monticello; stepson, Larry Brown and his wife, Paula, of Presque Isle; stepdaughter, Brenda True and her husband, David, of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Sperry of Caribou; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a wife, Pauline (Churchill) Sperry; and a brother, Gardiner Sperry. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Interment will take place after the service at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle. Those who wish may make donations in Millard’s memory to Washburn Pentecostal Church, P.O.
