MAPLETON – Minnie B. Hubbard, 89, died early Wednesday morning, April 9, 2008, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born March 17, 1919, the daughter of Andrew and Alice (Perkins) McLellan. She worked for 42 years at local potato processing plants. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Mapleton, and a member of Orange Lodge No. 32, Washburn. She is survived by a son, Calvin “Kelly” Hubbard and his wife, Linda, of Mapleton; three daughters and their husbands, Flora and Roger Carroll of Winchester, Va., Sandra and Geoffrey Hunter of Stafford, Va., and Jeanette and George Cushing of Surprise, Ariz.; a brother, Elwin McLellan of Bristol, Conn.; three sisters, Pauline Turick of Torrington, Conn., Alberta Kelley of Bristol, Conn., and Alfreda O’Donal of Hartford, Conn.; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Hubbard of Mapleton; 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd; a son, Robert Hubbard; brothers, Lester, Sterling, Silas, Edwin, Owen and Andrew Jr.; sisters, Elsie Fleming and Rena Hafford. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Duncan Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Dorothy Matson officiating. Relatives and friends may call 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A reception will be held immediately after the service in the gathering area of the funeral home.
