UNITY – Miriam Keezer passed away July 2, 2005, at Maine General Medical Center, Thayer Unit, in Waterville. She was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Crystal, the daughter of Brock and Estella (Grant) Currie. Miriam was predeceased by her husband, John R. Keezer who passed away July 30, 1998; and a son, William A. Keezer. She is survived by one son, Ralph Keezer and his wife, Suenelle, of Okeechobee, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Sally Keezer of Sun City, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Terry Keezer of Texas, Wendy Darby of Florence, Ala., William Keezer Jr. of Orlando, Fla., Allen Keezer of Fort Pierce, Fla., Steven Keezer of Okeechobee, Fla., Randy Keezer of Gainesville, Fla., Susan Harris of Okeechobee, Fla., Sandra Rodriquez of Okeechobee, Fla., and Stephanie Howell of Gainesville, Fla.; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Given of Millinocket and Janet Dickey of Clinton; several sisters and brothers-in-law; four nieces; one nephew; grandnieces; grandnephews; cousins; and her poodle Precious. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Lawry Brothers Memorial and Remembrance Centre, 42 Depot Street, Unity. Burial will take place in The Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
