LEVANT – Morris (Bob) Knowlton, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Oct. 27, 2004, after a long and Courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 6, 1931, in Dixmont, the son of Leonard H. and Fannie (Henderson) Knowlton. Bob was an excellent auto mechanic working for several local garages. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, carnivals, hunting, and country music. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor (Mixer) Knowlton; three sons and five daughters; Darryl and Yvonne of Palmyra, Randall and Christine of Exeter, Steven and Rosa of Carmel, Sandy and Craig of New Britain, Conn., Gloria Knowlton of Corinth, Nancy and Linwood Wickett of Stratham, N.H., Linda and Stephen Straight of Levant, Marilyn and Dale Rozelle of LaGrange; 14 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters; Ernest, Rodney, Roger, Vivian, Althea, and Madelia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call 12-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at the Brown Funeral Home, 34 High St., Newport, followed by funeral services at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Rev. Helen Overlock officiating.
