EASTON – Morrison J. “Scotty” Cumming, 84, died Friday night, Sept. 9, 2005, at a Bangor hosp-ital. He was born June 20, 1921, at Easton the son of James and Naomi (Milbury) Cumming. He served in the U.S. Army. Morrison worked in civil service at Loring Air Force Base as a mechanic for 32 years, and was a carpenter who worked for many people in the area. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. “Scotty” had a great sense of humor, a real prankster, who loved people, and loved life, always had fun what ever he was doing. He was a dedicated member of the Easton Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary (Hamilton) Cumming of Presque Isle; seven children and their spouses, Danny and Carolyn Cumming of Dover Foxcroft, Carol and Larry Smalt of Sanford, Carolyn Drummey of Wiscasset, Brian and Jill Cumming of Mars Hill, Patricia and Brandon Berger of Austin, Texas, Naomi and Andy Oakes of Winterport, Gregory and Kim Cumming of Richmond; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several foster grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Barnes and Jean Tobin. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Easton Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Matthew Maxwell and the Rev. Richard Bell officiating. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home Presque Isle. Interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.
