GREENVILLE, N.C. – Mrs. Ann Savitt Pilot, 69, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008. Mrs. Pilot was a native of Rockland, and lived in Bangor with her now deceased husband, Morris Pilot, for 21 years. She was an active volunteer in the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Hadassah. She was a member of Beth Abraham and Beth Israel Synagogues and attended Bayt Shalom Synagogue where her daughter has been president for the past three and a half years. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Samantha Pilot of Greenville, S.C.; beloved grandsons, Alex Lavine and Andrew Lavine, both of Greenville, S.C.; brother, Michael Savitt of Raleigh, N.C.; stepchildren, Rohna Paskow and Robert Pilot, and their children, Aliza Sawdon, Adam Paskow, Joseph and Kimberly Pilot. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Pinewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
