WATERVILLE and HAMPDEN – Omar L. Pickard, 65, died Feb. 8, 2008, at a Bangor hospital from complications after surgery. At the time of his death, he was employed at Inland Hospital, Waterville for 14 years. He enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee in the morning. Omar was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Omar is survived by his loving sister, Claudette Oxley of Brewer; his niece, Debra Kearns and her mate, Steve Grondin, of Etna; his nephew, Walter “Bub” “Rocky” Oxley Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Holden; many other nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Terry Vicnaire and family. He was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Pickard. If anyone would like to remember Omar, they may contribute in his memory to Inland Hospital, 200 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville, ME 04901.
