TUCSON, Ariz. – Mrs. Mary Anastasia Obey Spencer Blinn, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Mary’s Residential Home Care, Tucson, Ariz. Born Feb. 15, 1913, in Bangor, she was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Call) Obey. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, prior to her move to Arizona. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Roland Harold Spencer, in World War II; her husband of 56 years, John Raymond Blinn; two brothers, Robert E. and John W. “Jack” Obey; two sisters, Ellen F. Obey and Elizabeth A. “Betty” Blanchard. Survivors include two sisters, Stella K. Pelkey of Bangor and Margaret “Peggy” J. Blinn of Florida; three sons, Roland Edward and wife, Joan Spencer, of Tucson, Ariz., Robert Raymond and wife, Carole Spencer, of Marana, Ariz., and John Ronald “Ronnie” and wife, Julia Spencer, of Frederick, Md.; two daughters, Margaret Joann “Peggy Jo” Wall of Tuscon, Ariz., and Susan Ellen (Blinn) and husband, Will Churchwell, of Tuscon, Ariz.; several grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at her gravesite at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, next to her late husband, John R. Blinn.
