SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Muriel A. (Pepin) Woodman, 84, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 4, 2008. She was born in Augusta, to the late Edmund and Annie Pepin. She graduated from Cony High and Burdett College. After starting her married life in Bangor, to her late husband, John F. Woodman, grandson of former mayor, John F. Woodman, they moved to Syracuse, N.Y., in 1954. She was a wonderful loving mother, nana and friend that brought music and laughter to her family. She gathered much enjoyment as a member of St. James Church, Newcomers, Lamplighters and Socialaires, the Corinthian Club, Valley VIP’s, South Side Businessmen’s Association, volunteering at CGH and singing with Onondaga Entertainers. She loved to cook, garden, go bowling, play golf and sing. She loved tea parties with her “girls” and enjoyed their times together on their boat. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Woodman and Stephanie and husband, James Roberts, of Syracuse, N.Y.; and her four grandchildren, Nils Flodberg of San Francisco, Erika Flodberg of Syracuse, N.Y., James Roberts of Muskogee, Okla., and Annie Roberts of Syracuse, N.Y. She was predeceased by her son, Joey. Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 South Salina St., Syracuse, N.Y. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Saint James Church, 4845 South Salina St., Syracuse, N.Y. Burial will be at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt, N.Y.
