VAN BUREN – Yvonne I. Corbin, 81, died unexpectedly March 4, 2008, at her St. Francis Street residence. She was born Dec. 22, 1926, in St. Leonard Parent, New Brunswick, the daughter of Levite and Laura (Caron) Cote. She owned and operated Corbin’s Diner, Van Buren, for several of years, as well as a restaurant in Canada and also worked for Madawaska Weavers, St. Leonard, New Brunswick, for a number of years. Yvonne was a member of the Columbiettes of Van Buren. She is survived by six daughters, Gaetane Dionne and her husband, Aurele, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Laurine Martin and her husband, Albert, Linda Levesque and her husband, Mark, Ginette Madore and her husband, Michael, Danielle Despres and her husband, Paul, all of Hartford, Conn., and Lauraina Ouellette of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; two sons, Rainald Corbin and his wife, Mona, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick and Rene Corbin of Van Buren and his companion, Nancy Page, of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; one brother, Claude Cote of Bangor; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphee Corbin, in 1993; and by a daughter, Claudette Morrow, in 2002. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
