CARMEL – Myra Evelyn Gatcomb, 79, died March 26, 2007, at a Bangor health care facility, after a long illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Brewer, the daughter of Chester and Myrtle (Gray) Seavey. Myra was a loving mother and grandmother, who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed camping, picnics, long rides, and motorcycle riding with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roland “Pete” Gatcomb of Carmel; one son and his wife, Bob and Gerry Gatcomb of Bangor; one daughter, Janie Morrissey of Bangor; six granddaughters, Teresa and Jenny McPherson of Bangor, Tammy Southard of Eddington, Bobbi Lee and Crystal Gatcomb of Bangor, and Kim D’Angelo of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; six great-grandchildren, Andi, Ashley, Megan, and Lexi of Maine, and Brooke and Dominic of New York; two nieces and one nephew. Her brother and sister, Chuck Seavey and Ethel Tozier, predeceased her. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
