BREWER – Myrtle A. Foy, 86, wife of the late, Peter C. Foy II, died May 21, 2005, at her home in Brewer. She was born Nov. 7, 1918, in Brewer, the daughter of George C. and Mabel A. (MacLaughlin) MacLeod. Myrtle was a resident of Brewer for most of her life, graduating from Brewer High School in 1936. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Brewer and a member of the Brewer Historical Society. Myrtle was known for her wit and humor and she enjoyed collecting antiques, especially antique dolls. She lived her last four years at the Burr House Eldercare in Brewer, where she received excellent care from Judy Blanchard and her staff which is deeply appreciated by her family. Surviving are one daughter, Roxanne E. Sage and her husband, Gregory, of Falmouth; five grandchildren, Ryan, Corey and Patrick Sage, all of Falmouth, Stanley Foy of Portland and Stephanie Foy of Morristown, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Sally Foy of Bristol; one brother, Roger MacLeod and his wife, Sue Ann, of Bangor; and one sister, Dorothy “Dot” Rowe and her husband, “Farr”, of Brewer; a sister-in-law, Janice MacLeod; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband; one son, Peter C. Foy III; two brothers, Kenneth P. MacLeod and Clifford MacLeod; and one sister, Donna Denney. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where family and friends may visit 1-2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Constance Chase-Wells, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Brewer will officiate and burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
