HARTLAND – Myrtle E. Chipman, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Hartland at her home. She was born March 8, 1928, in Harmony, the daughter of Preston and Albra (Foss) Chadbourne. She married Myron Chipman July 10, 1946, in Harmony, he passed away in 1997. She was educated in Harmony schools. After high school she went to work at Scott Webb Hospital in Hartland as a lab tech and a nurse for 20 years; she then worked as an office secretary at Irving Tanning in Hartland for 20 years until retiring. She loved to knit, crochet and she also loved working with flowers. She is survived by a son, Clive Chipman and his wife, Tammy, of Corinna; one sister, Arlene Richardson of Skowhegan; two brothers, Leo Chadbourne and his wife, Phyllis, of Dover-Foxcroft, Almond Chadbourne of Harmony; eight grandchildren, Troy, Todd, Delores, Tracey, Kylie, John, Conrad and Brittany; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the funeral chapel. Internment will be held at Pooler Cemetery in the spring. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Northern New England Region, One Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
