ISLAND FALLS and GULFPORT, Fla. – Nadine E. Robinson, 93, died April 18, 2006, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born June 23, 1912, in Merrill Plantation, the daughter of Harold G. and June G. (Clark) Brown. She graduated from Merrill High School, Merrill and Aroostook State Normal School, Presque Isle, in 1931. She taught for more than 40 years in Maine including three and one half years in Bucksport. She was active in many organizations including president of the garden club in St. Petersburg, Fla. After retirement, Nadine did substitute teaching at Holy Name in Florida where she had lived for 30 years before returning to Maine. She is survived by two sons, Herbert and wife, Carol, of Surry and Richard and wife, Linnie, of Kenneth City, Fla.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore F. Robinson; four brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 21, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Those who desire may make contributions in Nadine’s memory to the charity of ones choice.
