OAKFIELD – Nancy A. Wiles, 53, died June 30, 2005, at Bangor with her son, Mason and sister, Amber at her side. She was born Feb. 19, 1952, in Island Falls, the daughter of Paul Sr. and Betty (Swallow) Shields. Nancy started her nursing career at Ship Rock, N.M. She spent 10 years at S.A.C.H.S. as a school nurse; was a visiting nurse of Aroostook and ended her career at Houlton Regional Hospital. She is survived by her father of Oakfield; her loving son, Mason of Oakfield; two sisters, Emily and her husband, Steve Butler, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., and Amber and her husband, Kermit McGary, of Smyrna; one brother, Paul Jr. and his wife, Melanie Shields, of Palm Bay, Fla.; father and mother-in-law, Walt and Ruth Conrad; one brother-in-law, Dan and his wife, Jerri Wiles, all of Denver, Colo.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, Yale Stevens and a very close friend, Jeanette Ruhl. She was predeceased by her husband, Marc; and her mother, Betty. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Oakfield Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Marc, with the Rev. James Flye, officiating.
