EXETER – Nancy A. Clark, 64, died Oct. 15, 2005, at her home surrounded by her children after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born Feb. 8, 1941, at Bennington, Vt., a daughter of Eugene and Matilda (La Francois) Betit Jr. She was communicant of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church of Pittsfield, where she led the ladies prayer group. Nancy also loved her work as a personal care assistant. She felt that caring for others in need was her real vocation and she will be greatly missed by many. She will be remembered as an avid gardener. She is survived by two sons, John and wife, Maureen Bowen, of Menasha, Wis. and Scott Bowen of Exeter; two daughters and their husbands, Connie and Mark LaGross of Pittsfield and Marybeth and Dana Littlefield of Hartland; two stepsons, Horace and wife, Helen Clark, of Florida and Dennis and wife, Pam Clark, of Exeter; a stepdaughter, Jeannette and husband, Floyd Pomeroy, of Bangor; a brother, Clarence and wife, Marion Betit, of Chesapeake, Va.; four sisters, Theresa Boutin, Rose and husband, Robert Brown, and Louise Johnson, all of Bennington, Vt., and Yvonne Blechner of Troy, N.Y.; six grandchildren; many step- grandchildren, great-stepgrand-children, nieces and nephews and her cat, Bobby. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Bowen Sr.; her second husband, Stanley Clark; a brother, Gilbert Betit; three sisters, Antoinette and Virginia Betit and Adeline Squires; two stepchildren, Stanley Clark Jr. and Vernon Clark. Friends may call 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport, where a prayer service will be held 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 50 Detroit Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Iheaka officiating. Graveside committal services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Park Lawn Cemetery, Bennington, Vt.
