CARIBOU – Nancy Carol Donnelly, 68, wife of Dr. Maurice “Bill” Donnelly, died Sept. 25, 2006, in Presque Isle. She was born June 30, 1938, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Kenneth and Irva (Smith) Woomer. She was a graduate of Carlisle High School, Carlisle, Pa. and earned her bachelors degree in fine arts at Moore College of Art. Nancy was an artist and art teacher for more than 40 years. She taught art for the last 18 years for the Gifted and Talented Program of Northern Aroostook County, Caribou. Nancy attended the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, Caribou. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She married Dr. Maurice W. “Bill” Donnelly, Dec. 20, 1959. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Caribou, are three sons, Dr. Stephen Donnelly and his wife, Sara, of Scarborough, Michael Donnelly and his wife, Deborra, of Hollis, and Gary Donnelly and his wife, Amy, of Portland; her sister, Mrs. Patricia Dowling of Chalfont, Pa. and five grandchildren. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Anna Beach, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Donnelly may do so through the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.
