NANCY H. (HAMMOND) LUND-SPENCER STETSON – Nancy H. (Hammond) Lund-Spencer, 52, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 16, 1955, in Jonesport, the daughter of Richard and Jane (Robinson) Hammond. Nancy was a devoted mother and spouse, and will always be remembered for her giving nature and willingness to help others. She enjoyed being a Cub Scout den mother and was a member of Daughters of the Nile. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading, and was a big Red Sox fan. Nancy was also a proud graduate of the University of Maine – Machias in 2005. Nancy was employed by Bank of America, Belfast. She previously worked for many years for Hannaford, as well as Supertech and Whitney’s Wreaths, Machias. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Spencer; parents, R. Francis and Betty (White) Hammond of Harrington; sons, Ricky Lund of Brewer, Joshua Lund of Stetson, Devon Lund of Stetson, Jerome Spencer and his wife, Cathy, of Maryland, and Robert Holt and his fianc?e, Stephanie Craig, of Stetson; daughters, Roxanne Lund of Mississippi, and Rhonda and her husband, Tony Smith, of Bangor; brothers, Richard “Dickey” and his wife, Debra Hammond, of Holden and Charles Hammond and his friend, Linda, of Windham; sisters, Debra and her husband, “Tootie” Dinsmore, of Milbridge, and Rose and her husband, Scott Santerre, of Cherryfield; grandchildren, Hanna, Anthony, Maddylynn, Daphne and Sabrina; plus many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her mother, Jane H. (Robinson) Hammond; and her grandparents, Carl and Rose Robinson and Herbert and Marjore Hammond. The family wishes to recognize Eastern Maine Medical Center’s oncology and intensive care units for their great care and service. A special thanks to Dr. Openshaw, and nurses, Bea and Laura. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Harrington Baptist Church with a remembrance gathering after the service at Harrington VFW Hall.
