PALMYRA, Pa. – Nancy J. Foley Grattan, 56, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, at her home. Born Sept. 19, 1951, in Montclair, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Kiearn and Harriet (Seelig) Foley. She was a pediatric register-ed nurse at M.S. Hershey Medical Center, where she was well liked and respected, both as an employee and co-worker. She had previously been an emergency room nurse and immersed herself in her work and loved helping others. She was a 1973 graduate of St. Joseph’s College, Emmitsburg, Md., and was an insulin depen-dent diabetic for 53 years. For leisure, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and swimming. Surviving are her husband, Roger P. Grattan, whom she married Dec. 12, 1982; daughter, Mary C. Grattan of Palmyra, Pa.; sisters, Carol Krehel of West Orange, N.J., and Mary Ellen Lombardi of Haywood, Va.; aunt, June Jesch of Wayne, N.J.; cousins, niece, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews.
