BANGOR and MACHIAS – Nancy L. (Kokosh) Brunetti, 69, died Jan. 13, 2004, at a Rockport hospital, after a brief struggle with ovarian cancer. She was born Jan. 13, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Velma Kokosh. She grew up in Pittsburgh but spent most of her life in Machias and Bangor. Nancy received her B.A. degree from the University of Maine at Machias and received her Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. She worked for several different agencies within the State of Maine system until her retirement. She worked for Acadia and had currently been working at Gentiva up until the time of her illness. She dedicated most of her life helping people. Nancy also was an active volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor. Her many interests included reading, traveling, and camping. One of her favorite places was St. Andrews, Canada. She is survived by three children, Laurie and her husband, David Arguin of Warren, Doug Brunetti and his wife, Elke of Waldoboro, Christine and her husband, Thomas Pavlov of Scarborough; five grandchildren, Melyssa, Ian, Ethan, Eric, Melissa; three stepgrandchildren, Alicia, Lori, Laura; and one stepgreat-grandson, Laine. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Private interment will be in the spring.
