ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. Nancy Whitcomb Jennings, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, after a long illness. Born in 1925, in Bangor, Nancy lived in Orono, Chicago, and Dade City, Fla., before moving with her family to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1943. Nancy graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College and did modeling as a Webb’s City Girl. Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Robert Jennings, in 1954 and remained in St. Petersburg, Fla., where they raised three children. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptions at Bay Pines VA Hospital, Bayfront Medical Center and four local doctors. She was predeceased by her husband. Nancy is survived by her children, Mark of Seminole, Fla., Scott of Fredericksburg, Va., and Robbie Mueller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her brother, John Whitcomb of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five grandchildren. There will be visitation 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Brett Funeral Home and Cremation Services, St. Petersburg, Fla., with a prayer service 11 a.m. Burial will be after the service at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
