MARIAVILLE – Nellie Austin, 66, died Jan. 22, 2005, at her home in Mariaville. She was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Osborn, the daughter of Benjamin and Nathlee (Tracy) Jordan. Nellie attended schools in Osborn and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1955. She married Lewis Austin, Jan. 21, 1956, in Mariaville. She is survived by four sons, Everett and Beth Austin, Joseph Austin, Scott and Ann Austin, all of Mariaville, Kevin and Chetah Austin of Bradford; nine grandchildren, Tena, Brian, Benjamin, Stephen, Alan, Kelli, Adam, Keeli, and Nikia Austin; and stepbrother, Kenneth Silsby and wife, Nonnie. of Osborn. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis in 2000; and two sisters, Amy Jordan in 1950, and Irene Tracy in 2004. At her request, there will be no services. Interment will be in Brimmer Cemetery in Mariaville in the Spring. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Mariaville Fire Dept., 2171 Mariaville Road, Mariaville, ME 04605. Arrangements are under the care of Acadia Burial & Cremation Direct, 248 State St., Ellsworth.
