MADAWASKA – Noella Nadeau, 87, died Feb. 22, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Green River, New Brunswick, daughter of Thomas and Anna (Vaillancourt) Dufour. She is survived by seven daughters, Lucy Diaz of East Hampton, Mass., Agnes Wagner of Albuquerque, N.M., Claudette Lloyd of Bristol, Conn., Irene Nadeau of Wooster, Ohio, Claire Cote of Grand Isle, Doris Lizotte of Bristol, Conn., and Freda Farley of Washburn; two sons, Rosaire Nadeau of New Britain, Conn., and Andre Nadeau of Mississippi; three brothers, Cyril Dufour of Pontiac, Mich., Clarence Dufour of Vernon, Conn., and Leonard Dufour of South Carolina; four sisters, Lena Martin of Green River, New Brunswick, Leona Lebel of Fort Kent, Claudia Cyr of Madawaska and Valeda Michaud of Vernon, Conn.; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one stepgrandson and two stepgranddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Nadeau; three sons, Neal, Philip and Real Nadeau; two daughters, Juliette Lloyd and Betty Ann Nadeau; and 18 brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and family may visit 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. until the time of serviced Monday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery in the spring.
