GREENBUSH – Nolan L. Adams Sr., 88, husband of Evelyn G (O’Keefe) Adams died peacefully Jan. 11, 2004, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born May 10, 1915, in Cardville, a son of Clarence E. and Lou (Willitt) Adams. Nolan was a World War II veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and a former member of the VFW. Nolan worked hard in the woods his entire life and was primarily employed by Fernald Timberlands. He was a good husband and father and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn; two sons, Nolan Adams Jr. of Greenbush, Norman Adams and his wife, Therese, of Lincoln; a daughter, Marinette Daniels of Greenbush; two stepsons, Al Henderson and his wife, Helen, of Old Town, Bob Piers of Bucksport; a stepdaughter, Betty Levesque of Guilford; a half-sister, Lovina Kennedy of Greenbush; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Adams; a step-granddaughter, Toni White; and a brother, Norman Adams. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday.
