BANGOR – Nora A. Macdonald, 78, wife of the late John S. Macdonald, died July 9, 2005, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her family. She was born April 17, 1927, in Gray, the daughter of Walter and Minnie (Sanborn) Golding. Nora was a graduate of the Liberty Bible College and a member of Bangor Baptist Church. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, John Macdonald and Sandy of Tucson, Ariz., Randy Campbellton and Donna of Carmel, Bruce Macdonald and Jan of Hermon; two daughters and their husbands, Brenda (Macdonald) Mellick and Pierre of Wilmington, N.C., Valerie Boone and Roger of Stetson; two sisters, Lucy Golding, Margie Hodgkins, both of Portland; 14 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband; she was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Walter Jr., and Irving Golding. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bangor Baptist Church, 1476 Broadway, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mick, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
