NOREEN H. ADAIR HOULTON, SATSUMA, Fla., and LITTLETON – Noreen H. (Guy) Adair, 88, died Sept. 25, 2008, at a local health care facility. She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, daughter of Harry and Ella (Wheeler) Belyea. Noreen was a loving wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed reading, word games, traveling, dancing and having a good cup of tea with friends and family. Noreen is survived by nine children, Roberta Burtt of Anson, Janet Grant of East Millinocket, Harriet Gray of Houlton and North Port, Fla., Riki Adair of Sheidan, Wyo., Nancy Adair-Godtland of Chamberlain, S.D., Sue Breniser and Mary Adair, both of Moreno Valley, Calif., Joan Catalina of Dexler, N.Y., and Raeburn Adair of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Arnold Guy, in 1943; her second husband, Earle Adair, in 2003; her grandson, Clark Burtt; and two sisters. The family thanks the staff of Madigan Estates for their loving care of Mom. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Littleton Cemetery with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request gifts be made in Noreen’s memory to Cary Library, Madigan Estates Activity Fund or the charity of one’s choice, care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730.
