PRESQUE ISLE – Norma Evans passed away Nov. 29, 2007, at Aroostook Medical Center. Born Dec. 1, 1942, in Tilley, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Harold F. and Beatrice (Goodine) DeMerchant. Norma leaves behind her husband, Harry Evans III; her daughter, Sherri and James Mowbray of Kilburn, New Brunswick; her sons, Harold “Butch” Evans and Denise of Carlingford, New Brunswick, and Harry and Linda Evans IV of Midwest City, Okla.; her brothers, Harold and Ellen DeMerchant Jr. of Red Rapids, New Brunswick, the Rev. Bennie and Theresa DeMerchant of Manaus, Brazil, and Robert DeMerchant of Upper Kintore, New Brunswick; eight grandchildren and nine great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Jacqueline DeMerchant; and her brother, Vaughn DeMerchant. Resting 2-4 p.m. only Sunday at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Calvary Tabernacle, Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, with the Rev. H.M. Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
