BANGOR – Norma Giorgio, 84, passed away May 1, 2006, at a local healthcare facility after a long illness. She was born March 5, 1922, in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of Brigida and Francesco Lecchi. She graduated from Evander Childs High School in New York City, N.Y. She lived much of her life in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. where she work-ed at Standard Brands, Peekskill, N.Y. for many years. After retirement, she lived in Fishkill, N.Y. and Bangor. She loved her family and friends and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was a generous person. Her family thanks the staff of Westgate Manor for the tremendous care they gave her during her later years. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Dunlap and her husband, Bruce, of Suffolk, Va.; son, Frank Giorgio and his wife, Pat, of Bangor; and grandchildren, Paul Dunlap of Suffolk, Va., Laura and Patrick Giorgio, both of Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Benjamin Giorgio; and her sister, Gloria Caroselli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Fishkill, N.Y. She will be entombed next to her husband and parents at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, N.Y.
