BREWER – Norman Leighton Bragg born in 1915, in Clifton, and a longtime resident of Brewer, died Saturday, March 3, 2007. Norman was employed at Eastern Corp., Brewer, for several years and at Brewer High School. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he was a man of faith and integrity. He was conscientious and loyal, always wanting to help others. He always wore a smile and his hobbies included gardening, fishing and hunting. He was dearly loved by his family and respected and admired by friends and former co-workers. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Katherine Annette Wood Bragg; two daughters, Kathleen Norma Gatchell Perez and Bonnie Jean Tarr and husband, Leonard E. Tarr, of Bangor; four grandchildren, Travis Gunnar Heath of Denver, Mechelle Tanya Gatchell Werner and husband, Mark Werner, of Stow, Jason Michael Gatchell, and wife, Shawna Renee Gatchell, of Brewer, and Tyson Norman Tarr of Natick, Mass.; and three great-grandchildren, Rachel Kathleen Werner, Isabella Mae Gatchell, and Nicholas Charles Werner. He is also survived by his sister, Marsha Littlefield of Steuben; and his brother, Raymond Bragg of Eddington. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2029 Broadway, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to the Bangor Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Arrangements by Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer.
