EAGLE LAKE – Norman Martin, 60, died peacefully July 23, 2008, at his residence. He was born Dec. 23, 1947, in Van Buren, the son of Romeo Sr. and Geraldine (Thibodeau) Martin. Norman was a member of American Legion Post No. 176, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, all of Eagle Lake. Norman’s favorite past times were coin collecting, golfing and photography. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Rachel (Berube) Martin of Eagle Lake; three daughters, Tina and her husband, Jon Davis, of East Wilton, Nickie and her husband, Rob Ritchie, of Sherman and Kelly and her husband, Mark Laferriere, of Granville, Mass.; one son, Jason and his wife, Denise Martin, of Gray; three grandsons, Justin, Ryan and Grady; three granddaughters, Kaytlyn, Jordyn and Anna; one sister, Joan and her husband, Al Jr. Coppola, of Southington, Conn.; two brothers, Romeo Martin Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Plainville, Conn., and Glenn Martin and his companion, Nancy, of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine and her husband, Reno Dionne, of Westfield, Mass., and Hilda and her husband, Larry Leudenburg, of Apopica, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake.
