VEAZIE – Normand H. Bacon, 82, died Sept. 14, 2006, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born Oct. 7, 1923, in West Warwick, R.I., the son of Henry and Eva (Monty) Bacon. He is survived by two brothers, Henry Bacon and his wife, “Little Rita,” of Rhode Island and Gerard Bacon and his wife, Nora, of Florida; two sisters, “Big Rita” and her husband, Frank Russo, of Rhode Island and Lorraine Bacon of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Gena and Randy Bacon, both of Veazie. In addition to his parents, Normand was predeceased by his wife, Gracie (Jordan) Bacon; his son, Normand “Buttons” Bacon; two brothers, Donald and Conrad Bacon; and his dancing partner, Rose Spencer. The family thanks the staff at the Maine Veterans’ Home for their excellent care of Normand. Services for the family will be private. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 205 Center St., Bangor.
