CONNOR – O. Edwidge Damboise, 84, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2007, at a Caribou health care facility after a short illness. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Her life ended the same way she lived it, with dignity, strength and compassion for others. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family and most recently, those who cared for her at Caribou Rehab and Nursing Home. Edwidge was predeceased by her husband, Bertrand in 1986, after 39 years of marriage; three brothers, Ulrick, Arthur and Bert; and two sisters, Bertha and Edwina. She is survived by four sons, Conrad Damboise and his wife, Pat, of Augusta, Wayne Damboise and his wife, Cindy, of Connor, Alan Damboise and his wife, Stephanie, of Old Town and Rodney Damboise and his wife, Janet, of Laconia, N.H.; three daughters, Linda Thibodeau and her husband, Percy, of Connor, Carmen Tetu and her husband, Tom, of Holden and Donna Grindle and her husband, Shane, of Owls Head; one brother, Hector Gagnon and his wife, Theresa, of Connor; two sisters, Edna Hebert of Madawaska and Rita Martin and her husband, Lester, of Caribou; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
