FORT FAIRFIELD – Octave J. Saucier, 96, husband of the late Mary Saucier, died Thursday morning, Aug. 16, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility, after a brief illness. He was born July 2, 1911, in Drummond, New Brunswick, the son of Henry and Rose (King) Saucier. He was a communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, and was married to Mary Turcotte in 1935. In addition to his parents and wife, Octave was predeceased by one son, Lawrence Saucier; and three brothers, Edmund and John Saucier, Eddie Evans. He is survived by five sons, Aldric Saucier of Fairfax, Va., Norman Saucier and his wife, Claudette, of Providence, R.I., and West Palm Beach, Fla., Ralph Saucier and his wife, Gloria, of Buford, Ga., Gerald Saucier and his wife, Louise, Albridge Saucier and his wife, Brenda, all of Fort Fairfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Jean-Guy Lizotte of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Agnes Saucier of Fort Fairfield; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where vigil prayers will be conducted 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. David Raymond. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. David Raymond, celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone, immediately after the funeral Mass. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held immediately after the interment service at Knights of Columbus Hall, 260 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
