EAST MILLINOCKET – Odette C. Paoletti, went to the Lord Feb. 21, 2005, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a resident of the Katahdin Nursing Home where her care was exceptional in the competent and loving hands of the staff. Odette, the daughter of Isabelle Fitzgerald Jandreau and Edward Fitzgerald, was born Feb. 22, 1924. She lived in East Millinocket for more than 50 years. Odette was predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Paoletti; her sisters, Anita Lund and Alice Rush; and her brother, Lloyd Fitzgerald. Odette will live on in the hearts of her loving brothers, Vernon Jandreau of Millinocket, and O’Neil Jandreau of Banning, Calif.; and a special family friend, Mary Ouellette. She will also live on in the hearts of her adoring children, Donna Pound of East Millinocket, Bobbie and Stephen Gough of Waterville, Joan Fisher of Millinocket, Toni and Bruce Brown of Medway, and Peter and Andrea Paoletti of Medway; her beloved grandchildren, Tara and Lyn Smith, Guy and Winnett Ordway, Neal Gough, Ryan Gough, Johnny and Joni Fisher, Scott and Deena Fisher, Amy and Adam Guiggey, Nichole and Thomas Henderson, Timothy Brown, Miranda Paoletti, and Jeffrey Paoletti; her beloved great-grandchildren, Brooks Ordway Smith, Chase Ordway Smith, Anthony Fisher, Madison Fisher, Carli Fisher, Caitlyn Fisher, Jake Fisher, Olivia Guiggey, Branden Guiggey, and Alexys Sherwood; as well as several cherished nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Celebrating 36 years of sobriety, Odette joined AA in 1968. During those years, she nurtured and loved all of her AA family as well as her Manzo Prayer Group family. Throughout her entire life, Odette always put everyone first and herself last. Through many difficulties, she never complained. She would always say, “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.” The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in East Millinocket. Following the Mass, there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Parish Center.
