MILBRIDGE – Olive D. Bradbury, 79, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Flagstaff, the daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice (Wing) Donahue. Raised in Dead River, she moved to Kingfield and graduated from Kingfield High School in 1946. On Sept. 23, 1950, she married Richard Bradbury and moved to Rangeley. They resided there for several years before moving to Milbridge. Mrs. Bradbury owned and operated a private daycare at her home for many years. Olive was an active member with the Girl Scouts as a leader and was a Sunday school teacher with the Congregational church, where she was a member for many years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Veterans’ of Foreign War Auxillary. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and jigsaw puzzles. She shared 49 years of marriage with Richard Bradbury, who died in 2000. She was also predeceased by siblings, Helen Bubier and Joe Donahue. Family members include her children, Douglas Bradbury and wife, Barbara, of Oxford, Michael Bradbury of Eric, Pa., Jean Bradbury of Milbridge, Joanne DiDonna and husband, Arthur, of Wilton and Richard Bradbury of Milford; grandchildren, Angie Clark and husband, Benjamin, Amy Crocker and husband, Christopher, Nicholas DiDonna, Crystal Bradbury and Seth Bradbury; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kaleb, Laci, Kendra and Cameron; siblings, Christine Woodward, Ruth White, Edward Donahue, Ethel Bardsley, Georgie Woodford, Faye Chadbourne and Ralph Donahue; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge, where services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be after at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
