LEVANT – Olive M. Chalmers, 82, the wife of the late Edward Chalm-ers Jr., died June 15, 2005, at Westgate Manor in Bangor. She was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of George and Ruth (Woodend) Minot. She was a veteran of the WAC during World War II and worked in the Pentagon. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy DeLorenzo and her husband, Joe, of Levant; a son, John Chalmers and his wife, Sylvia, of Woburn, Mass.; a brother, George Jr. and his wife, Arlene, of Falls Church, Va.; three grandchildren, Daniel and Mary DeLorenzo and Christopher Chalmers; a stepson, Edward Chalmers III and his wife, Diane, of Arlington, Mass. and their children, Edward IV and Derek; a step daughter, Dorothy Chimente and Inigo of Cambridge, Mass. and their children, Joseph, Charles and Eric. Olive was predeceased by a brother, John Minot. The family wishes to thank Westgate Manor and the staff for their kindness and wonderful care. Cremation arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. At Olive’s request, there will be a private service for the family at a later date.
