MADAWASKA – Olivine Vanier, 91, died at a local nursing home on Jan. 30, 2004. She was born July 10, 1912, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alvine (Paradis) Gagnon. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Madawaska. She is survived by her husband, Armand Vanier of Madawaska; one son, Guy Charest; and one daughter, Claudette Charest and her husband, John Levesque. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Charest; and one daughter, Jeannine Charest. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Edmundston, New Brunswick, in the spring.
