BATH and VAN BUREN Orena B. Gagnon, 83, died April 10, 2004, at a Bath nursing home. She was born Sept., 24, 1920, in Lille, the daughter of Eddie and Alice (Clavette) Gendreau. Orena was self-employed as a home products and jewelry demonstrator for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Cook and her husband, Stephen, of Topsham, Debra Kelly and her husband, Mark, of Perkasie, Pa.; one brother, Percy Gendreau of Lille; five sisters, Rhea Gendreau of Limestone, Gladys Laplante of Bangor, Germaine St. Amand and Alphena Latham, both of Van Buren, Mary Ann Chasse of Hamlin; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Gagnon in 1974; two daughters, Arlene Poitras, in 2003, Erna Violette, in 1997; and by a grandson, Clinton Violette, in 1980. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be at St. Bruno Cemetery later this spring.
