DANFORTH – Orville Leroy Golding, 88, husband of Janice Lucille (Springer) Golding, died July 7, 2004, in Houlton. He was born Sept. 27, 1915, in Littleton, the son of George Hartley and Beatrice (Kelly) Golding. He was a U.S. Army-Air Force veteran of World War II. An active community person, Orville was a member of the American Legion, the Grange and was a volunteer firefighter. He was a deacon at the Danforth Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an active member of the Miss Tri-County Committee. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, James H. Golding and Patricia Zaneldin of Danforth, George W. Kinney of Neptune, N.J., John Robert Kinney and his wife, Joyce, of Danforth, and Richard E. Spinney and Kathy Eifler of Florida; a daughter, Janice Stinson and her husband, James, of Florida; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Danforth Methodist Church, with the Rev. Leon Robinson and the Rev. Robert Root officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Danforth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danforth Methodist Church.
