BANGOR – Pamela Edwards Jones, “perpetually 39,” died Jan. 17, 2004, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born in Rickinghall, England. She came to this country as a young bride and raised her family. She was employed with Canteen Company for many years. Pamela was a member of the Maine Air National Guard Club. She enjoyed gardening and dancing with her husband. One of her greatest joys came from spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Dean Edwards and his wife, Martha Ann, of Texas, and their children, Dean and Erica; Lee Edwards and his five children, Nicole, Lisa, Justin, Jason, Leah, Michael Edwards and partner, Paul Antonellis, of Massachusetts; Janis Manning of Hampden, and her two children, Kayla and Michelle; Paul Edwards of Bangor, and his daughter, Sara; a brother, Reginald Arnold and his wife, Brenda, and their children, Janice and Reginald; an aunt, Joan Royal; and a cousin, Barbara Inglis, both of England; her cat Coco. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Jones; her parents, Reginald Arnold and Ruby Huggins; and a brother, Philip John Arnold. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Monday Jan. 19, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St. Bangor, following the service.
