THELMA M. PORTER HOULTON – Thelma M. Porter, 89, died Jan. 16, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 17, 1914, at Waterville, the daughter of John and Lillian Lewis. Thelma was employed with Dr. Robert Goodwin for several years and then with other area businesses until starting her own seamstress shop. She was a member of the Houlton First Congregational Church and the Congregational Guild. She is survived by her daughter, Leora Tozier of Ballson Lake, N.Y.; granddaughter, Nancy T. Rang and her children, Kathryn and Rebecca Schrems, Nancy’s husband, Dennis, and his children, Patrick, Aissia and Marissa, all of Florida; grandson, Andrew Tozier and his wife, Michele, their children, Sean, Ian and Marielle, all of New York; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Elwood Porter; and favorite son-in-law, Robert Tozier. Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
