NEWPORT – Patricia A. Rowe, 62, died Feb. 7, 2004, at the Sebasticook Valley Healthcare Facility, following a long illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1942, in Metuchen, N.J., the daughter of William S. and Mildred A. (Thomas) Thiele. Pat was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1960. She then attended Husson College in Bangor, and graduated in the class of 1964. She was employed by the state of Maine as a medical secretary at Bangor Mental Health Facility in Bangor for many years, retiring early due to ill health. Pat was married to Robert S. Rowe, who died very unexpectedly on Dec. 20, 1998. She was a member of the Peoples United Methodist Church in Newport, and also a member of the church choir for many years. She was a member of Epsilon Delta Sorority at Husson College, and a member of the Maine State Retirement Association. Pat is survived by her father and mother, William and Mildred Thiele of Palmyra; her brother and his wife, William and Vickie Thiele of Hollis, and their children, Amanda, Christopher and Jeremy; a brother and his wife, David and Betty Rowe of Lake Wales, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was a resident of the Sebasticook Valley Healthcare Facility for nearly six years, and the family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care Pat received. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at the Brown Funeral Home, 34 High St., Newport, with Rev. George Darling officiating.
