CHARLESTON, S.C. – Patricia Anne Flynn, 60, of Charleston, S.C., died Saturday, May 14, 2005, comfortably at her home with her family. Known as Pat or “Bubbles” to her family and friends, she was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Geneva, Neb., to the late Carl and Ethel Soderstrom. Pat was an elementary school teacher for 28 years in Florida and Maine. She retired in 1997 and moved to Charleston, S.C., with her husband, Jack. While in Maine, Pat loved spending the summers at their camp, where she had ample time to catch up on one of her hobbies, reading. She enjoyed traveling and touring the sights of Low Country. Once in Charleston, she took a part time job as an art consultant at a local studio. Pat will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and an adoring granna. She is already missed by her husband, Jack and their two children, Jack Jr. and Colleen; and her cutest little granddaughter, Courtney, all of Charleston. We would like to extend our thanks to Bon Secours, St. Francis and to the Hospice of Charleston, all of whom did an excellent job in helping us during these trying times. Friends and family of Pat can make donations to the Hospice of Charleston, Inc., 3870 Leeds Avenue, Ste. 101, North Charleston, SC 29405 or to the American Cancer Society at 267 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29401. Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Flynn are private. Arrangements by Tri County Cremation Center, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29483 (843)832-4888.
