CORINNA – Patricia (Foege) Payelian, 64, crossed over to begin a new life on the other side Sept. 14, 2007. She courageously fought against a very rare disease, Amyloidosis. She was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Neptune, N.J., daughter of Lawrence and Elinore (Francis) Foege. Before her illness, Pat worked in the library at Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, where she enjoyed meeting and working with the diversity of student life. Her husband, John, retired this year from the school as a science teacher. Previous to their move to Maine in 1996, Pat and John lived in Hancock, N.H., and were planning to return there after Pat’s retirement to be closer to her grandson. Pat had many interests; she was an avid quilter, loved reading and practiced organic gardening for more than 30 years. She was a Reiki practitioner and dabbled in aromatherapy. Pat is survived by her loving husband, John of Corinna; a daughter and her husband, Sue and John Norton and their son, Barrett, all of Hancock, N.H.; a son, Peter of Smithtown, N.Y.; a sister and her husband, Nancy and Richard Loetzer of The Colony, Texas; and a very special cousin, Susan Calvin of Stanhope, N.J. She has been blessed by many loving friends and relatives during her lifetime and they were by her side at the end on her journey. Private services will be held at a later time by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, The AE Howell Wildlife Refuge, 101 Lycette Road, North Amity, ME 04471-5114. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
