BANGOR – Patricia G. Winslow, 71, died April 15, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Patricia was born on May 24, 1932, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Earl and Charlotte Gradie. Pat graduated from Mattawamkeag High School in 1950 and obtained a degree in secretarial studies from Husson College in 1951. Pat was married for 45 years to Alfred Winslow of Bangor, until his death in 2001. Pat worked at Dead River Company from 1951-1987. After retirement, she moved to Marco Island, Fla., until returning to the Bangor area in 2001. Pat enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, playing cribbage, and doing crossword puzzles. Surviving are her one daughter, Susan Winslow and her husband, Paul Bridges, of Peaks Island; her one son, Gradie Winslow and his wife, Karen, of Oak Hill, Va.; three granddaughters, Emma and Ellie Winslow and Fan Tai Bridges; one niece; several cousins; and special friends, Rose Wiggins of Hampden, Shelly Brown of Bangor, and Joni Webber of Milford. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Private interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
