LEWISTON and FORT KENT – Patricia Jean Robichaud, 79, formerly of Fort Kent, died April 8, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, after a long battle with kidney disease. Patricia was born March 17, 1928, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Louis and Flora (Austin) Paradis. Patsy married Philip L. Robichaud, March 30, 1948. Her life was dedicated to her husband and her children. She was a member of the Fort Kent Columbiettes for 25 years and the Ladies of St. Anne for several years, also of Fort Kent. She was a volunteer for the Breakfast Program, which was sponsored by the federal government, the Food Pantry and the Thrift Shop, Fort Kent for many years. In addition to her husband of 59 years, she leaves behind her seven children, 15 grandchildren, eight and a half great-grandchildren. Her children are daughter, Phyllis Daigle and Berthol of Lisbon, and children, Monique Traynor, Craig, Mark and Sara Daigle; son, Dana Robichaud and Danielle of Warrensburg, N.Y., and children, Douglas Robichaud and Denise Putney; son, Randall Robichaud and Jeannette of Benson, Ariz.; daughter, Peggy Castignetti and Ron of Winchester, Mass., and children, Robin Gentile, Julie and Amy Joe Castignetti; daughter, Susan Hanscom of Orient and children, Jeff, Paul and Steve Hanscom; daughter, Lisa Gallagher and John of Portland and child, Katie Gallagher; daughter, Jill Nadeau and Robert of Scarborough and children, Heather and Joel Nadeau. She is also survived by one sister and six brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Paradis of Eagle Lake, Claudette Gobeil of Saskatchewan, Canada, Lloyd Paradis and Louise, Maurice Paradis and Joella, all of Fort Kent, Clarence Paradis and Marge of New Britain, Conn., Ronald Paradis and Joan, Royden Paradis and Cecile, all of Fort Kent, Kenneth Paradis and Joan of Eagle Lake; a brother-in-law, Ralph Simon of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Leona and Claudette Paradis, both of Fort Kent; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Sr. Geneva Paradis, SCIM, Rowena Pittman and Doris Simone; three brothers, Claude, Quentin and Roger Paradis. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery.
