CAMDEN – Patricia Walker Kopfmann, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill. Born April 26, 1916, in West Collingswood, N.J., she was the daughter of Howard H. and Emilie (Mayhew) Walker. She was a graduate of Moorestown High School in Moorestown, N.J. She took courses at the University of Pennsylvania in preparation for training as a lab technician at the Burlington City Hospital in Mount Holy, N.J., where she met and married Dr. Harry Kopfmann. In 1941, they moved to Deer Isle, and she worked with her husband in his medical practice. In 1971, Mrs. Kopfmann moved to Camden, where she worked for Thomas Miller, O.D., until she retired at the age of 71. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Camden, was a past matron and life member of the O.E.S., Chapter 136 in Deer Isle and a member of the local Harbor View Chapter. Mrs. Kopfmann’s hobbies included reading, knitting, playing Scrabble, tennis, the piano and the pipe organ. She was an avid reader who loved history and enjoyed doing the New York Times crossword puzzle. Surviving is one daughter, Patricia Jones and her husband, Rendle, of Camden; two brothers, Howard H. Walker and Edward E. Walker, both of Florida; and two grandchildren, Kimberly DePaolo of Rockland; and Vincent Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was predeceased by a brother, Rowland P. Walker; a third brother, William M. Walker of Delaware, who died Nov. 16, 2003; and a sister, Margaret Walker. In keeping with her wishes, there will be a service at 11 a.m. Dec. 1, 2003, at the First Congregational Church of Camden. Her ashes will be interred in the Memory Garden at the Congregational Church in Camden and sprinkled over Penobscot Bay. Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Book Fund at the Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., Camden, ME 04843. Arrangements are with the Robert E.
