NEW VERNON, N.J. – Patricia Wright Kearns died unexpectedly March 24, 2006, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Rice Wright of Bangor. Pat was born in 1934, in Bangor. She attended Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1952. After high school she went on to the University of Maine. It was there that she met her husband, William M. Kearns II. They were married in August 1957 after they graduated. Most of her married life was spent in New Vernon, N.J., where she raised five children. She was active in the Garden Club and the Morris County Golf Club. She traveled the world extensively. One of her favorite activities was tap dancing. She first took tap from Polly Lynch Thomas in the early 1940’s and continued to take tap classes and perform in dancing recitals up until her death at the age of 71. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William M. Kearns II; sons, William and Michael; daughters, Susan Kathleen, Elizabeth; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosemary Fitzgerald of Orono and Landenberg, Pa. and Jeannette McDonald of Bangor. She was predeceased by her brother, John H. Wright of Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial was said for her March 28, at Christ the King Church. The celebrants were the Most Rev. Frank Rodimer, the Rev. Msgr. John Corr, the Rev. Msgr. Patrick Brown, the Rev.
