DOYLESTOWN, Pa. and MILFORD – Patrick J. Burke, 80, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, at Doylestown Hospital. He was born July 17, 1926, in Old Town, the son of the late Napoleon J. and Suzanne A. (Roy) Burke. Mr. Burke was a retired ironworker and member of Iron Workers Local 15 and 24 in Hartford, Conn. He was an army veteran of World War II, serving as a military policeman in the Pacific theater. He had been a resident at the Pine Run Lakeview Home in Doylestown, Pa., for the last year and a half. He had previously resided in Milford and Newington, Conn. Patrick was a member of the VFW and the Elks in Old Town. He was an avid golfer and former member of the Indian Hill Country Club, Newington, Conn. He was the devoted father of Anne Fleming and her husband, Jay, of Doylestown, Pa., Susan Caseiro and her husband, Eric, of Brimfield, Mass. He was the loving grandfather of Kathleen Fleming, Audrey Caseiro and Emily Caseiro. He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria and her husband, Richard Boucher, of Old Town, Betty and her husband, Edmund LeBretton of Milford; a special cousin, Betty Medeiros of Old Town; many nieces and nephews. Patrick was the beloved husband of Jean Duplissa Burke for 44 years before her death in 2000. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Holy Family Parish, Old Town, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery after the service. Friends and family are invited back to the Holy Family Parish Hall for a luncheon and continued fellowship.
