HOULTON and WAYMART, Pa. – Paul Allen Scott, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Nov. 11, 2006, surrounded by his family, in Birmingham, Ala. He was born April 24, 1931, in Houlton, the son of William and Lillian (Kiley) Scott. Paul was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the 79th Combat Engineer Battalion and the Airborne Rangers, “one of the chosen few.” He was a previous member of Houlton Wesleyan Church and was, at the time of his death, a member of the Salvation Army, Scranton Corps. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna (Smith) Scott; children, Terry and his wife, Donna, Valerie and her husband, Danny Pelletier, both of Hodgdon, Tina and her husband, Dave McGuire, of Birmingham, Ala., Mark and his wife, Nancy, of Waymart, Pa., Roger and his wife, Laurie, of Hermon; brothers, Gerald and his wife, Jean, Bill, Arnold and his wife, Norma; one sister, Mary Russell; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Jean Marie (Hashey); brother, Olin; sisters, Myrtle Stewart, Harriet Clark and Helen Archer. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Houlton Wesleyan Church, with the Revs. Wayne Robertson and David Tuttle officiating.
